Cape Fox Tours was born out of Jaco’s two big passions in life: Nature/Wildlife and Photography.

The company started as jacels tours in 1998 and developed into a successful touring company, now trading as Cape Fox Tours & Photography.

Jaco is a graduated Zoologist, award-winning photographer and qualified guide – specializing in Culture and Nature Tours and Safaris. He is also the co-author of the best-seller Kgalagadi Self-Drive.

Tailor Made Tours


Cape Fox Tours conducts tours and safaris throughout Southern and Eastern Africa, with special emphasis on the Kalahari region of the Northern Cape Province.

The predominantly tailor-made private tours & safaris are undertaken by small bus or luxury 4x4 vehicles

International visitors are exposed to the Northern Cape’s rich heritage in culture and natural splendour, while treated to our warm Northern Cape hospitality and good food. All levels of photographers and holiday “snappers” are accommodated, and supporting equipment can be provided on request.

Tours and Safaris are conducted throughout South Africa, including Kruger Park, Panorama Route, KwaZulu Natal, Drakensberg, Wild Coast, Garden Route, Addo Elephant Park, Cape Town and Winelands, West Coast, Namaqualand Flower Region, Richtersveld and Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Karoo, Kimberley and Diamond Fields, Battlefields, Johannesburg / SOWETO and Goldfields.

Safaris

Safaris are also offered to Botswana (annual Chobe & Savuti Leopard Safari), Zimbabwe (Victoria Falls), Kenya (Masai Mara Wildebeest Migration), Rwanda (Mountain Gorilla Trek), Zambia (South Luangwa) and Namibia (Sossus Vlei, Etosha, Fish River Canyon).

EcoKids

The Educational arm of the company, started the EcoKids project in 2019. The project is largely sponsored and self-funded, to conduct Environmental Education trips for children/learners from pre-school to tertiary level.

Educational Zoologist-guided game drives are conducted at Dronfield nature reserve, within easy reach of all schools in the Kimberley, Frances Baard region. Each activity focuses on nature, wildlife, ecotourism, recycling, sustainable energy, water preservation, and the correlation between human agriculture and natural cycles.
